Webasto Next
This page describes the connection of a ready installed Webasto Next Wallbox to the Manager flex.
Installation and configuration
Number of compatible wallboxes per SOLARWATT Manager flex: 1
Interface: LAN, WLAN
Requirements
- the Webasto Next is connected to the network before being switched on
- the expert view is activated in the user interface
Configuration Webasto Next
- Open profile settings by clicking on the user abbreviation (in screenshot AD in the upper right corner of the screen)
- Activate expert view
- Menu Backend: Set connection type No Backend
- confirm with Save
- Menu HEMS: Set up communication via Modbus TCP
Settings:
- Mode: HEMS activated
- Port: 502
- Connection type: LAN
- Set fallback values of charging current (Safe current L1, L2, L3, charging currents in case of loss of connection between Manager flex and Webasto Next)
- confirm with Save
- Network menu: Integration into the local network (via WLAN or LAN)
Integration via WLAN
- Activate WLAN (DHCP Off/ on)
- Enter WLAN network name (WiFi SSID) and password
- Activate DHCP
- confirm with Save
Integration via LAN
- Activate LAN
- Activate DHCP
- confirm with Save
- Menu Power: set up maximum permissible charging current
- Charging current (Operator current limit): maximum permissible value limited by fuse protection of the house distribution system
- Specify number of connected phases (Phases connected to wallbox)
- Set country settings (Installation region)
- confirm with Save
Setup in SmartSetup
Search for devices
- Select Webasto Live/Next charging station from the drop-down menu
- Enter the necessary data in the configuration menu.
Serial number: can be viewed on the Webasto user interface (System menu

- SelectAdd device to search
- Selectsearch and install devices
- After successful installation, green Device is installed appears next to Webasto Live/ Next charging station in the device list.
