Brief instructions

Integration of the inverter (WR):

• Integrate the inverter into the local network.
• Go (via the browser) to the user interface of the WR.

Settings:

• It may be necessary to restart the inverter and the router.

Configuration Sunny Boy 2.5

• Connect your laptop to the local network (via LAN cable or WLAN).
• Enter the IP address of the WR in the address line of the browser. You can find the IP address in the "SMA Service Manual for Installers".
  
  
• Select your preferred language and as user group Installer .
• Enter your password and click Login.

• Select Configuration with installation wizard.

• In the Network Configuration tab, configure the communication type.
  In the example shown, the connection via Ethernet with automatic configuration has been selected so that the router assigns the IP address and the subnet mask automatically.
  
• Click Save and continue.

• Continue with the configuration in the Date and Device time tabs.
• Select the applicable country data set. The country data set depends on the country and the intended use. It contains all specifications for setting the device parameters on the mains side to meet the respective mains connection standard.

• Configure the operating mode of the active power method in the Grid system service tab.

  been selected and the grid disconnection at 0% feed-in

• Click Save.
• In the Summary tab, check that all settings are correct.
• Click Next.

• Switch to the Device parameters menu.
• Switch on the TCP server under External communication > Mod bus > TCP server.
• Switch on the UDP server under External communication > Modbus > UDP server.

Only then is it ensured that the EnergyManager can communicate with the inverter.

SMA inverters are found and installed by the automatic device search, provided they are accessible in the local network.

The automatic device search and installation can take up to 5 minutes.

Correctly installed devices can be recognized by the message: Device is installed. in the device list. Furthermore, the list shows the current creation data.
