Configuration Kostal PIKO IQ / PLENTICORE

  • Connect your laptop to the local network (via LAN cable or WLAN).
  • Enter the IP address of the inverter in the address line of the browser. The IP address is alternately displayed in the inverter display or can be requested in the inverter menu. Alternatively, you can find out the IP address via an IP scan or via the user interface of the router.
Attention: a network scan requires prior approval by your customer!
  • Select your preferred language under Choose Language and the role Installer under Kostal Login.
  • Enter your password. To log in as an installer, you need the master key from the inverter's type plate and your service code, which you can request from the manufacturer's service department.
  • Click Login.
  • Make all basic settings under the Settings menu item (e.g. inverter name, network settings, specifications for remuneration, query of log data).

Kostal inverters are not found and installed in Manager SmartSetup via autodiscovery. The device search must be performed by entering the IP address of the inverter. If the IP address changes during operation, the connection between the inverter and the manager is lost.

We therefore recommend assigning a static IP address to the WR via its network settings.

  • Log out as installer and then log in as plant operator.

When logging in for the first time as plant operator, you must assign a password. This can be done via Forgot password. In the following menu, enter the master key and a new password. You will find the master key on the type plate of the inverter.

  • Select the Modbus / Sunspec (TCP) submenu from the drop-down list in the Settings menu
  • Select the Enable Modbus check box.
  • Click Save.
