EnergyMeter

Typical use cases are reading out the generation data of an incompatible inverter or reading out the consumption data of a heat pump.

Danger

Personal injury due to electric shock
An energy meter may only be installed by a qualified electrician when it is de-energized. There is a risk of electric shock!

Installation and configuration

When connecting the S0 meter to the Manager flex, the following PIN assignment must be observed:

EnergyMeter (3-phase) RLS (single directional meter)

The data of other devices can be read out with the help of the SOLARWATT EnergyMeter, for example:

  • Generation data of an unsupported inverter
  • Consumption data of a heat pump or another consumer

Proceed as follows to install the SOLARWATT EnergyMeter:

  • Before connecting the meter to the Manager flex, check the wiring on the meter side.
  • Establish and check that it is voltage-free.
  • Connect the energy meter to the feed line of the inverter. Ensure the correct connection direction (current flow direction) at the energy meter.
  • Connect the cable for S0 pulse transmission to the S0 connector (included in the scope of delivery).
  • Connect the cable for S0 pulse transmission to the pulse output of the EnergyMeter.
  • Connect the S0 plug to the S0 socket on the Energy Manager flex.
  • Restore the voltage supply.
