Stiebel Eltron

These instructions describe the connection of a completely installed heat pump to the SOLARWATT Manager flex.

Installation

  • Install Stiebel Eltron heat pump according to installation instructions
  • Connect Internet Service Gateway (ISG) to heat pump
  • Integrate Stiebel Eltron heat pump into local network according to installation instructions

Requirements

  • current date set on controller
  • ISG connected to the Internet
  • the service portal is accessible under Profile - Network

2 configuration processes are necessary for operation:

  1. Recognition & installation of the ISG in SmartSetup
  2. Recognition & connection of the manager with the Stiebel Eltron service world

The ISG must first be found by the manager, then the manager must be found by the ISG.

The two devices must be in the same network.

Configuration Stiebel Eltron heat pump

In order for the manager to communicate with the Stiebel Eltron heat pump, the heat pump must be logged into the Stiebel Eltron service world:

  • Call up the service world by double-clicking on Internet Service Gateway in your Explorer.

start the service world by entering http://servicewelt in the address line of your browser.

Click Set up connection.

  • Read and accept the privacy policy Next.
  • Fill in the registration form, enter an e-mail address (your portal key will be sent to this address), confirm withNext.
  • Confirm that your information is correct and by pressing OK a confirmation email will be sent.
  • The successful data transfer is confirmed by a pop-up window OK.
  • Enter the activation code (portal key), confirm with OK.
  • After entering the portal key, it can take up to 30 minutes until the yellow exclamation mark switches to a green tick and the red LED (X2) on the ISG switches to green. Then the login was successful.

Setup in SmartSetup

Search devices

  • Select Stiebel Eltron ISG heat pump Binding from the drop-down menu.
  • Select Auto-detect IP address and click Add device to search.
  • Confirm the Search and install devices button.

Connection Manager flex and ISG

  • Select Manager flex in the Stiebel Eltron service world under Network > External connections.
  • Confirm the Connect button.
