SOLARWATT, Europe's only supplier of photovoltaic systems, has received an award from the German Design Council for its innovative strength. The company received the prestigious "German Innovation Award 2018" in two categories for the MyReserve battery. The battery solution was selected as an "Award Winner" by the top-class jury in both the "Excellence in Business to Consumer" category and the overall "Design Thinking" category. "In the development of our MyReserve battery, we intentionally ensured that it is not only extremely powerful and efficient, but that it is as easy as possible for end customers and installers to use. This award is once again a great confirmation of our development work," says SOLARWATT CEO, Detlef Neuhaus.
Since 2012, SOLARWATT has specialised in the development of intelligent photovoltaic systems. The MyReserve of the latest generation is completely modular and consists of just two basic components: the battery and the power electronics. Both are no larger than a shoe box and weigh a maximum of 25 kg. These modules can be easily combined, so that from a capacity of 2.4 kWh upwards, they can be configured to any size battery. This means that the SOLARWATT battery store can be used flexibly as either a home battery for private use or as a commercial solution.
Founded in 1993 and active worldwide, SOLARWATT GmbH is the leading German manufacturer of complete photovoltaic systems. The company is the European market leader in glass-glass solar modules and is one of the largest suppliers of electricity storage systems. For 25 years, SOLARWATT has stood for premium quality, made in Germany. International names such as BMW i, Bosch, and E.ON cooperate with the Dresden-based company, which employs some 350 people worldwide.
