Dresden. SOLARWATT, manufacturer of premium photovoltaic systems, and the power utilities of the Canton of Zurich (EKZ) are now working together. The long-term cooperation between the manufacturer from Dresden and the Swiss energy supplier is focused on sales. "Switzerland is a very interesting market for us. With this cooperation we are taking the next step in our internationalization," says SOLARWATT Managing Director, Detlef Neuhaus.
The focus of this sales partnership with the EKZ is the SOLARWATT EnergyManager, which has been specially adapted for power stations. EnergyManager will be marketed in Switzerland for the purpose of optimizing personal consumption from solar power systems under the product name ‘einfachSolar Steuerung’ (simpleSolar Management) and will be further developed with the EKZ. With EKZ’s einfachSolar Portal, customers can always see their own electricity generation and consumption. The EKZ will also offer the MyReserve Matrix solar battery from SOLARWATT.
"Our goal is to work together with energy suppliers and municipalities – in Germany as well as other European countries. The EKZ is a key partner in the Swiss market and complements our strategy perfectly. We look forward to a fruitful cooperation and exchange of ideas to the benefit of all parties – not just for SOLARWATT and the EKZ, but also for Swiss customers and last but not least: the environment," says Detlef Neuhaus.
Marcel Schürch, Head of Solartechnik at EKZ, added: "We offer our customers complete systems for self-supply with solar energy – SOLARWATT fits perfectly with our high-quality products. We are very pleased with the cooperation." The EKZ is among the largest Swiss energy suppliers with around one million customers and a distribution network of 15,000 kilometers. The Canton of Zurich is the sole owner of this company.
